The Foundation operates as a Public Ancillary Fund and is regulated by the Australian Charities and Not for Profits Commission and the Australian Tax Office.

The Foundation invests all general donations in a Fund comprising a range of low risk assets and uses both the earnings from and the capital of the Fund to make grants to eligible research and services organisations.

The Advisory Board sets the investment strategy annually and oversees compliance with the strategy on a quarterly basis. The Fund is audited annually in accordance with ACNC legislation.

There is no particular target for the Fund – it is the aim of the Foundation to keep growing the Fund until a cure for Parkinson’s Disease has been discovered.
